AUDITION FAQ

Do I need to prepare an audition piece?

No. You will learn a fun dance routine to perform for the judges on July 28th. (Psst...Sometimes this routine is taught at a prep class.)

What time do auditions begin and end?

Auditions will begin at 1pm. Auditions typically last about 4 - 6 hours; however, the actual end time varies depending on the number of candidates.

When will I find out if I made the team?

At the end of the evening, we will announce the candidates that have been selected to move onto the interview round. Interviews will be scheduled throughout the week after auditions. Final team will be announced the evening of Friday, August 2nd after Moms with Moves class.

May I bring friends, spouse, or children to the audition?

No. Auditions are closed to spectators. Bring a mom friend to audition with you!

What does M.O.M Crew mean to you, and/or why do you want to be a part of this team?

Liability and Publicity Release: M.O.M Crew tryout (the “Tryout”) being conducted by M.O.M Crew, commencing on Sunday, July 28, 2024 and concluding on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the iDANZ Performing Arts Studio located at 13610 Midway Rd. Ste. 224, Farmers Branch (Dallas), TX 75244. As consideration for the possibility of becoming a member of M.O.M Crew, I hereby acknowledge and agree as follows: 1. I hereby consent to the recording, use and reuse of my name, likeness, voice, personality and image (collectively “Likeness”) by M.O.M Crew or any of their assigns, successors, parent, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their licensees and advertisers (collectively M.O.M Crew), in and in connection with the Tryout and any production, broadcast, distribution, exhibition, advertising, marketing and/or promotion of the Tryout and/or M.O.M Crew, including without limitation, cards, posters, calendars, photographs, video, film, online, or any other form, now known or hereinafter devised. 2. I hereby grant M.O.M Crew the irrevocable and perpetual right to make video and/or sound recordings of me and my appearance in the Tryout, any/all statements, actions made by me, whether written, spoken, or otherwise expressed by me, or information given by me whether in an interview or otherwise (collectively “Performance”), and to use these photographs, films, tapes and video and sound recordings (collectively “Recordings”), as well as my Likeness, in the production, distribution, exhibition, publishing, advertising, promotion, marketing, and publicity for the Tryout throughout the universe, in any and all media, manners and formats, now known or hereafter devised. The Tryout or any part thereof (including without limitation my Likeness and/or Performance) can be edited, cut, added to, adapted, dubbed, modified and/or rearranged at M.O.M Crew sole and absolute discretion. I hereby waive unconditionally and irrevocably the benefit of any provision of law known as “moral rights” or similar laws now or hereafter prevailing in any part of the world. 3. The Recordings and all contents thereof shall be owned entirely by M.O.M Crew, and my contribution to the Recordings is specially ordered by M.O.M Crew as a contribution to an audiovisual work as a work made for hire for M.O.M Crew. M.O.M Crew is not obligated to use my Likeness or Performance in any way whatsoever. 4. I understand and acknowledge that I shall not receive any monetary compensation for my participation in, or otherwise in connection with, the Tryout, or for the exercise of any other rights granted by me herein. 5. I and my representatives, heirs, successors and assigns hereby absolutely, unconditionally and forever release and discharge M.O.M Crew and iDanz Performing Arts Studio, all other persons and entities connected with the Tryout, and each of their respective present, future and former officers, directors, agents, representatives, attorneys, employees, successors, assignees, and licensees, (collectively the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, proceedings, suits, awards, judgments, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses of any kind (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of, resulting from, or by reason of, the use of my Likeness and Performance and my participation in or in connection with the Tryout (including without limitation personal injury, emotional distress, invasion of rights of privacy and/or publicity, and/or defamation).
